ME Grade Level Placement

Students who entered 9th grade before August 1, 2011:

1 - 4 credits - 9th grade

   5 credits – 10th grade

10 credits –  11th grade

15 credits –  12th grade

CHANGES FOR 2011‐12 SCHOOL YEAR & THEREAFTER GRADE PLACEMENT:

For students entering 9th grade on or after Aug. 1, 2011

1-5 credits - 9th grade

  6 credits ‐ 10th grade

12 credits ‐ 11th grade

17 credits ‐ 12th grade

Because ME utilizes a self-paced, mastery based curriculum, students progress through grade levels as prescribed above.  Student grade levels may change at any time throughout the school year based on student course completions and credits earned.

Students must complete Georgia Department of Education minimum requirements to receive a high school diploma.
